- Do not disparage our efforts at enforcing the alerts groups’ rules. Yes, sometimes it appears that we are draconian about it and concede that it is not necessary in some cases, but we are trying our best to make sure that messages posted gets everyone’s attention. We can’t do this if the forum becomes flooded with irrelevant posts. It’s a constant balancing act and we apologise if anyone takes offense. Please address your grievance offline with one of the Admins.
- Do not forward info received on any of the group. Do not post unconfirmed information which may affect residents. Always ensure the information is factually correct and if not 100% sure, please message one of the Admins privately for them to enquire from SAPS or obtain information from other sources.

- Gents, please do not PM any ladies and Ladies please do not PM any Gents; whom you do not know personally. Transgressors will be grossly embarrassed.
REPORTING OF CRIME, SECURITY OR EMERGENCY INCIDENTS:
- Alert people to specific security issues – give a good description of the observation or incident. Keep it as brief and factual as possible so that we can get the info distributed as fast as possible to relevant parties. i.e.
- Description: car, make model, colour. Any distinctive marks e.g. mags, tinted windows, back light missing, etc.
- Description: person, pants, shirt, colour, shoes, hat, any distinctive markings, scars, etc.
- Description: Time when an incident occurred.
- Description: Location where it happened, i.e. corner Malibongwe and Witkoppen or just share the location on via a Google Maps pin drop, but please don’t share your live location as it tracks your location.
- Report all suspicious activity but please be logical about this. A person walking down the road is not “suspicious”. But a person walking down the road looking into properties, taking photos, etc. is suspicious.
- Abbreviations as used by other security entities – namely BM/Bravo Male, CM/Charlie Male, WM/Whiskey Male – (or F for female) are all acceptable, as they provide distinguishing characteristics of an individual who needs to be identified.
